New York-Tokyo, the host of the event series “Gamers Nite Groove,” will present a diverse selection of games from some of the top publishers in the industry including: Dark Sector, Lost Odyssey, Bully: Scholarship Edition, Devil May Cry 4, The Club, Sega Superstars Tennis, Mario and Sonic, Condemned 2, and Opoona, among others. All games will be showcased for all weekend free play at the New York – Tokyo Booth, on the main floor of the convention, on giant HD screens.

Hardly any other introduction is needed for our Spring 2008 tournament besides:Let the brawl begin!Do you have what it takes to climb the ladder of Super Smash Brothers history? Think you can take on the best of the best in NYCC? Step right up and bring your skills, talent, and thirst for victory over to the GNG Spring Tournament 2008: Super Smash Brothers Brawl.Registration can be done only at the New York – Tokyo GNG Booth on Friday and Saturday and the competition will be held exclusively on the Variant Stage from 5:45 to 6:45.TOURNAMENT RULES:Entry Cost: $10, payable at tournament desk (cash only).Time: 5:45 Starts the first matchMax Registration: 64 playersSetup: Each contestant upon checking in will receive a randomized number for that tournament. This number will be the player’s “handle.” We will keep track of your number, and use it to call out the ladder positions. From call-out, you have 3 minutes to claim your match against your opponent. If you lose, you are disqualified and your ticket will be taken.Match Rules:1. Default settings for all games.2. Must pick random stage.3. Three stock per match, best 3 of 3 matches.4. Player must choose character from default lineup.5. Items are to be turned OFF.6. Player must keep same character for the 2/3 games (may switch after win)7. Only house controllers may be used.8. No pausing during the game.9.
