When it comes to playing instruments, the only metal in most orchestras is usually, well, the brass section. The Honda Asimo first challenged this when it conducted the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Another step forward in the movement for robots to interact with human functions would the WF4IV, a robot developed by Waseda University. Its primary function is playing the flute, and some might even think it can double tongue (no pun intended) better than most humans. So much for practicing!
