Link will be releasing their first product; the furoshiki (a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth). This is an amazingly versatile piece of printed cotton textile measuring 90cm (35.4”) square. Furoshiki are generally used in Japan to wrap and carry almost anything from books and clothes, to lunch boxes and watermelons! Promoted as an eco-friendly product, furoshiki can last a long time and be used again and again. Link has given the furoshiki a contemporary and international twist. Our two limited-edition designs, by Los Angeles-based graphic designer Lucinda Newton-Dunn and London-based illustrator Hennie Haworth, interpret the concept of furoshiki in a bold and fresh way, making this a unique and stylish product.
Simply use your furoshiki ‘as is’ as a table cloth, a baby blanket, a scarf or even hang and enjoy as a piece of artwork. Alternatively, using some amazingly simple wrapping techniques, transform your furoshiki into a one-of-a-kind stylish bag for carrying all your essentials, or gift-wrapping that bottle of wine for a party or picnic.
