It’s been a while since we last caught up with Nakanari at his Technobabble show here in New York City. Since then, the Orlando based designer has been working on numerous projects ranging from a t-shirt line, customs for Kidrobot, and most recently, his very own vinyl toy. The ever pointy Ninja Spiki is scheduled to drop in early ’09 and will come adorned with an equally pointy array of ninja weapons (a katana and two shurikens). Nakanari has provided us with a glimpse of the final prototype. Follow the jump for more.

KAMACHAN and CHOP, the lead actors for KAMACHOP, would like to personally invite you to come to the finale screening for the NYTFGP2008 Festival Part One! They were so enthusiastic about the film that we snagged their personal video message. And at their request, we would like to have you to come to Tribeca Cinemas tomorrow at 6:30. Free complementary drinks will be served after the screening, and Director Matsumoto will be making appearances as well. You can find out how to RSVP after the jump.
Tsukuba-based Cyberdyne Inc. recently announced that they would be marketing their remarkable Hybrid Assistive Limb suit in several different European Markets. The suit is intended as a medical apparatus for use in hospitals as Eastern Europe has a large population of the elderly, similar to Japan.
Now, despite my extreme (read: unbelievably nerdy) reservations about naming a company and product after a homicidal AI program and creator of mankind’s eventual robotic overlords, the suit itself is a pretty amazing piece of technology. Does this put us one step closer to having a real-life Casshan? We can only hope.

Tomorrow’s premiere of the documentary is split up into two sessions, both occurring at the Anthology Film Archives, beginning at 7pm and 9:15pm, respectively, and the party is from 9-11pm. There will be good drinks, a very chill atmosphere, and tunes spun by Viva Radio DJ: Peter Jacobson.By NYT.
