NYT SKATE 2009
RECAP
Wednesday night was the night of NYTS2: SKATEBOARDING. To those that attended, we’re sure you agree that it was a live event with hard hitting music and exciting skate content provided by NYT. The main music acts, U-God (Wu-Tang Clan) and Goldie kept the crowd in check with their live music. Hirosher of HARVEST by Haroshi was our main feature and provided an impressive art work made of 100 snowboard decks. The art work was constructed out of old snowboards which follow HARVEST by Haroshi’s “green” concept. The crowd watched Hirosher build the “skull helicopter” side by side with U-God, Goldie, and DJ Synapse througout the night. FTC also provided some sneakers and collaboration skate decks Japanese artists such as Kami, Usugrow, Yoshitomo Nara, and Tomokazu Matsuyama to name a few. We screened some skate films courtesy of FTC and Visualize Image. It was definitely a well rounded night of music, skate, and art.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Arist/brand Harvest by Haroshi will be coming to NY from Tokyo this month for our NEW YORK – TOKYO SPORTS 2: SKATEBOARDING event! HARVEST by Haroshi is a brand that offers art and accessories following the recycling concept with the motto, “Keep the Earth”. Recycling old and unused skate/snow decks is an approach used by many artists but HARVEST by Haroshi takes it to the next level intricate details of the work. HARVEST by Haroshi has provided work for big companies such as Burton Japan. HARVEST by Haroshi will provide a live installation of a skull-helicpoter made of old decks at the NYTS2 event. The live installation will be accompanied by DJs playing music right next to him and visuals shot on the screen provided by HARVEST by Haroshi as well. In addition FTC will be present showcasing some product and video collection. Who knows, there may be some giveaways! This event is not to be missed! More information after the jump.
